Practice management
Helping patients find their next step.
Roots
I was born and raised in the South Bay of Southern California in a bilingual household as one of six children. I grew up between worlds—moving between my rich Mexican and Costa Rican culture at home and with family, while being deeply steeped in American culture at school and socially. That experience shaped my worldview and has helped me empathize with the life experiences of others.
Balance
It took me well into adulthood to recognize the importance of balance in one’s life. These days, I find balance in dancing, yoga, and practicing gratitude. Quality time with friends and family is essential to my life’s balance, and I enjoy connecting with people on more than a surface level. I also cannot leave out the importance of laughter. I wholeheartedly believe laughter is some of the best medicine we can receive, and I do my best not to take myself or life too seriously.
Education & training
After high school, I attended El Camino Community College while exploring a career path that would provide fulfillment. After working in retail, business administration, music promotion, and education, I found that path four years ago when I took my first job in the medical field.
I started in medical reception while providing translation services, using my bilingual skills to help patients and providers work toward their healthcare goals. That led to community health work, one of the most fulfilling roles I have had the pleasure of doing. That experience helped me realize how much I enjoy helping others.
As Rebekah’s Practice Manager, I continue helping people pursue their physical and mental health goals while supporting a provider who truly has her patients’ best interests in mind.
